The fantasy world of Lunar is fraught with both wonder and peril. Governed quietly by the goddess Althena and guarded by a line of Dragonmasters, Lunar is ever under siege by the forces of evil - and it's typically your job to quash them, in the name of the goddess. Whether you're doing this as the Dragonmaster changes from game to game.

Because there are so many different versions of the original Lunar it can be a little difficult to decide which one to play. This is complicated by story changes between the versions, which are especially notable when taking into account the original game, for the Sega CD. Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete is usually regarded as the 'best' version - and the easiest to access, thanks to Silver Star Story Touch, which is the mobile port of the same game - but all of them are enjoyable in their own way.

The Lunar series includes a few manga. Two that include events beyond the scope of the games are included on the timeline. The rest are under Release Order.
