Chronorderly is a website / blog that attempts to provide comprehensive, chronological listings of book, movie, television, and video game franchises. Titles and sub-titles will be combined into singular lists when appropriate, and other media may be incorporated into these lists, again when appropriate.
Chronorderly inspects two aspects of fictional chronology:
- The in-universe ordering of fictional works
- The real-world date of publication / release of fictional works.
This is done to provide consumers of fictional content with an easy-to-follow guide when deciding how they should watch / read / play their title of choice.
For some works, chronological ordering of movies, video games, and / or books is complicated by retcons, reboots, multimedia projects, and later additions to timelines. As such, some of these lists may be open to debate. We'll do our best.
When in doubt, the best way to enjoy a work of fiction is to watch / read / play by order of creation, rather than following the in-universe chronology. You're much more likely to run into spoilers or disturb the construction of the overarching narrative by following a strictly chronological order.
